The Monitor Audio Silver i Series launched in 1999 and was the last Silver Series made in the UK. The series included the Silver 3i, 4i, 5i, 8i, 9i, 10i, 12i, fxi, and IW-S4.
This series of speakers was renowned for their bass reproduction, which was a vast improvement from the 700 PMC series. The Silver 3i was a stand-mount speaker designed with C-CAM technology and a metal dome gold tweeter. The Silver 4i came in slightly larger, and that extra volume meant more bass extension and added dynamic punch. The Silver 5i, 8i, and 9i floorstanding speakers were born out of extensive research and development programmes, offering audiophile-grade performance and effortless system integration. The 10i and 12i centre channel speakers offered outstanding dynamic range, resolution, and power handling.
